New Hyaluronic Acid Filler in U.S

New Hyaluronic Acid Filler in U.S

Revanesse Versa – The Latest FDA Approved Filler

You’re probably familiar with many injectable dermal fillers such as Restylane, Juvederm and Sculptra. However, one you probably haven’t heard of is Revanesse Versa.

What is Revanesse Versa?

Revanesse Versa is a hyaluronic acid dermal filler, just like the well-known Juvederm and Restylane. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance that is found within the body, and is proven to correct the appearance of facial wrinkles and creases when injected. The formula for Versa is made of only high quality ingredients and is processed in small batches to maximize quality and safety. While Revanesse Versa has been approved worldwide for years, it was just recently approved in the U.S. by the Food and Drug Administration, so we brought it into our office!

How does Versa work?

Versa works just like the other dermal fillers, which it is a soft tissue filler that is injected into wrinkles and creases to soften and fill them out. We compare the product to a mix between Juvederm Ultra and Juvederm Ultra Plus. This means it can be injected into areas such as nasolabial folds and the lips. The results can either smooth out lines or add volume to lips. So far, we have actually noticed a significant reduction in the amount of swelling that we regularly see with other fillers.

How long does Revanesse Versa last?

The length of time for wrinkle correction varies. Many people maintain correction at six months, and/or continue to be happy with the level of correction up until 12 months. Personally at ZONA, we are testing Versa to see how long is stands up to Juvederm, hoping that it lasts a little longer.

Are there any warnings I should be aware of?

If you have gotten any dermal fillers before, you can get Versa filler worry free. As always with any injectable treatments, there are a few contraindications that can not be treated with Versa (or any other injectable):

  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Have a history of hypertrophic scarring
  • Have allergies to hyaluronic acid
  • Have a chronic skin disease
  • Have an infection of any kind
